If you want a calendar that can be viewed by others then you can add one to your blog such as <a href="http://www.kieranoshea.com/calendar" rel="nofollow">my calendar</a>. You can <a href="http://www.kieranoshea.com/programming" rel="nofollow">download that here</a> Sounds like you both may find either Sunbird or Lightening useful if you want something that works with thunderbird.
